The PENN Authority reel incorporates the latest technologies available on the market and operates much smoother thanks to its 13 (12+1) sealed stainless steel ball bearings. Combining the patented CNC Gear™ technology with brass gears, the Dura-Drag braking system, an aluminum spool, and a metal body, the Authority series performs exceptionally well under the toughest fishing conditions, handling large-sized catches.

It also features an IPX8 waterproof rating, providing complete protection for the internal mechanisms even if submerged in water, ensuring flawless reel operation over a long period. The Instant Anti-Reverse bearing eliminates even the slightest rotor back play and helps achieve a solid hook set every time. Authority reels in sizes ranging from 2500 to 10500 come with an additional EVA material knob that offers extra grip even when your hands are wet.
