The PENN Authority HS reel incorporates the latest technologies available and runs much smoother thanks to its 13 (12+1) sealed stainless steel ball bearings. By combining patented CNC Gear™ technology with brass gears, the Dura-Drag braking system, an aluminum spool and a metal body, the Authority series stands up to the toughest fishing conditions and handles large fish with ease.

It also features an IPX8 waterproof rating that provides total protection for internal mechanisms even if submerged, ensuring flawless reel performance over a long period. The Instant Anti-Reverse bearing eliminates even the slightest back play of the rotor and helps set the hook firmly every time. Authority reels in sizes 2500 through 10500 come with an additional EVA knob for extra grip even when hands are wet.
