Owner C-3 Carp Tsuyoshi hooks are part of the Carp range, mainly recognized for their special coating, which provides enhanced corrosion resistance. All hooks in this series follow the core principles of carp fishing—they hook the fish very well and efficiently without causing injury, feature an eye for knotless knot and hair rigging. They are made from Hi-Carbon steel wire that undergoes multiple successive hot and cold forging processes, and are finally sharpened using laser processing. They have a Cutting Point tip and are well suited for rigs with both braided line and fluorocarbon. These are short shank hooks with a wide gap, making them effective for a wide variety of rigs.

They work particularly well with Combi rigs made of two segments, one rigid fluorocarbon section and one very supple braided line section. This combination allows the Combi rig to blend the suppleness and natural movement needed for a natural bait presentation with the rigidity of the secondary line segment, which supports the rig. Although this rig is generally used with "bottom" or critically balanced baits, it also performs well with artificial floating corn kernels, which lift slightly from the bottom and settle just above the supple section of the rig.
