Okuma Safina FD Reel

The Safina FD is a compact and lightweight reel from the budget range, built around a graphite body that provides increased corrosion resistance. The two high-performance bearings (1BB + 1RB), together with the precisely machined brass pinion gear and the computer-balanced rotor system (RESII Computer-Balanced Rotor System), offer a precision balance that eliminates all vibrations and ensures smooth operation.

The standard anodized aluminum spool is exclusively painted in two tones (metallic silver and black). The reel’s front multi-disc drag system (Drag System Oiled Felt) is equipped with both steel discs and oil-impregnated felt discs made in Japan. The CFR (Cyclonic Flow Rotor) technology creates a cyclonic airflow that minimizes water intrusion and consequently reduces internal corrosion.

The Quick Set Infinite Anti-Reverse system (unidirectional roller bearing) allows the rotor to rotate only in one direction. The "Even Flow Line Roller" technology reduces line twist by allowing free, frictionless rotation of the roller, preventing line breakage. A durable wire bail, graphite handle, and ABS knob complete the reel’s features.

NOTE: Reels in sizes 1000, 2000, 2500, 3000, and 4000 come with an "I" type knob button, while the 8000 size is equipped with a "T" type knob button.
