The Okuma Obsidian 12000 is a premium reel with a robust gear system and a long cast spool, designed to cover all styles of carp fishing, from long-distance casting to bait fishing with heavy lines. The reel is made from a rigid, lightweight composite material called C-40X. Thanks to this material, the reel weighs only 520g. Maintaining a low weight is an advantage both for casting performance and angler comfort. The 12000-sized spool is extremely spacious.

Those who bait fish at long distances with heavy lines can spool more than 350m of 0.45mm line. For casting, the reel comes with two sets of gears that allow adjusting the spool depth to achieve the desired line capacity. The reel lays line evenly, without taper, with the factory setting, using a slow oscillation system. The drag is fast and precise, with carbon drag discs. In terms of appearance, the Okuma Obsidian has a sleek matte black finish. The ergonomic handle screws directly into the pinion, eliminating any play.
