Altera features the latest body design from Okuma's lineup, offering a modern and powerful reel equipped with the latest available technologies. It is designed with stainless steel bearings (3BB + 1RB), a rigid metal handle, and CFR (Cyclonic Flow Rotor Technology). Altera is a general-purpose reel, making it a great choice for beginners. The RESII computer-balanced rotor system precisely balances and eliminates all spool vibrations for perfect alignment and smooth operation. The Even Flow Roller system reduces line twist, allowing the line to flow freely over the roller without friction. The Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) is engineered to create a "cyclonic" airflow, significantly increasing air circulation through the rotor. This carefully tested design enables much faster drying if the reel gets wet, minimizing the chance of corrosion on the exterior. The CFR system also creates a lighter and stiffer rotor, reducing bending and rotational flex for more precise mechanical performance.
