The Minn Kota Terrova 2 80 WR is an electric bow-mount motor for boats, designed for use in freshwater. Part of the new generation of Terrova 2 motors, it features an advanced GPS navigation system, wireless control and automatic functions for maintaining position, heading and speed. The model delivers a maximum thrust of 80lbs (approximately 36.3kg), runs on 24V and has a 152cm (60 inch) shaft, making it suitable for moving and positioning boats while fishing.

The Advanced GPS Trolling System uses Dual-Band GPS technology to track the boat’s position and control the motor automatically. Spot-Lock holds the boat at a selected position, automatically adjusting heading and thrust to compensate for wind and current. Compared with previous generations, the upgraded GPS system offers greater positioning accuracy. Jog lets you move the GPS anchor position by approximately 1.5m in the selected direction using the included external heading sensor.

The motor features AutoPilot, which automatically maintains the selected heading and makes corrections to compensate for external influences. Drift Mode controls heading and speed while drifting, making it useful when fishing from a boat on lakes and other inland waters. Advanced navigation features include saving and following routes, controlling speed and navigating to selected waypoints. When used with compatible Humminbird equipment, additional features such as Draw and Navigate, Follow Mode, Dodge Mode and Intelligent Depth Control are available, depending on the system configuration.

The motor is controlled using the included Wireless Remote, which has an LCD screen displaying navigation information and operating parameters. It lets you adjust speed, change direction and activate GPS functions without using a foot pedal. The remote has four programmable buttons for quick access to selected functions. The motor can also be controlled using the compatible Minn Kota app on mobile devices or through equipment connected to the One-Boat Network system.

Minn Kota Digital Maximizer technology manages motor power according to the selected speed, allowing continuous speed adjustment and optimizing energy consumption. Under certain operating conditions, the system can extend battery life by up to five times compared with conventional systems with fixed speed settings. The motor has a battery level indicator, and maximum current draw is approximately 56A. It runs on 24V and requires a suitably configured battery system.

The motor shaft is made from composite material that resists mechanical stress and flexing, and is designed for repeated use while fishing. The bow-mount system lets you manually raise and lower the motor using the Stow/Deploy mechanism, making it easy to switch between the stowed and deployed positions. The Weedless Wedge 2 MKP-33 propeller is designed to move through areas with submerged vegetation, reducing the risk of plants wrapping around it.

The Minn Kota Terrova 2 80 WR is compatible with the One-Boat Network ecosystem, allowing integration with Humminbird fish finders and other compatible equipment. Wireless connectivity and the option to connect to a network make it easy to use automatic navigation features and manage onboard equipment. This version does not have a built-in sonar transducer and is supplied without a foot pedal; the wireless remote is included.
