Stroft NiTi Polywire Nickel-Titanium Monofilament Line, 2m

Stroft NiTi Polywire is a nickel-titanium (NiTi) alloy line that is gaining popularity among predator anglers, mainly due to its unique property of returning to its original shape even after severe bending. However, there are also drawbacks – when connecting these nickel-titanium lines to rigs, hooks, etc., ferrules are often used as aids in this process. Unfortunately, these connections are strong stress points prone to breaking due to the sharp edges of the ferrules. If tightened too much, there is a risk of stress concentration at any point (NiTi lines are generally more sensitive to stress concentration than steel lines). If the ferrule is too loose, there is a risk of slipping, which also reduces the efficiency of the leader.

Sometimes making a knot is recommended. However, there are very few metal lines that can be knotted. Additionally, the thick wire is stiff, and knots become very difficult to tie. Stroft NiTi Monowire solves these problems and is the first choice when making leaders. Connections are quick and easy to make. No ferrules, no pliers – simple, very easy to tie, the "clinch" knot with 4 turns is used (see illustration).

With Stroft NiTi Polywire, a knot strength of up to 100% of the line's breaking strength can even be achieved! This was made possible through a very specific adjustment of the alloy composition to achieve the properties sought for leaders – namely: maximum abrasion resistance, super-elasticity, optimal (easy) malleability, maximum breaking strength/knot strength, sufficient elongation (8%), and a matte surface.
