The Mivardi Base Station MK2 shelter is the improved and modernised version of the old spacious multifunctional shelter. The supporting structure has been completely redesigned using triple joints between the roof support poles, the vertical poles and the side tensioning poles. The frame poles are fitted with spring clips that firmly lock the individual sections into the connectors, considerably facilitating assembly and disassembly of the shelter. The connectors also have holes for attaching guy lines for use in very strong wind conditions.

A unique solution for the roof tension bar and the side tensioning poles significantly reduces their sagging over time and increases rigidity and load capacity. This also allows disassembly into a shorter transport length. For use in adverse weather conditions an additional set of side tensioning bars is available as an accessory. The shelter is prepared to hang two large mesh organisers with practical pockets (available separately).

The side walls have been modified to support these organisers, which can hold up to three kilograms. A welcome improvement is the considerably enlarged rear window, and the multifunctional rod and landing-net holder, available separately, is designed to be mounted on the side tension bar and offers better organisation of equipment.
