The Minn Kota PowerDrive 55 MR DSC is a bow-mount electric motor designed for freshwater fishing. The motor delivers 55lbs of thrust, runs on 12V and features a 137cm shaft.

The built-in GPS system allows control of the boat’s position and movement. The Spot-Lock feature lets you automatically hold the boat at a set location, while the navigation functions provide control of heading and movement during fishing.

The MR variant is equipped with Micro Remote, a compact remote control for the motor’s main functions. Steering, speed and GPS functions can be controlled remotely without using a foot pedal.

The DSC variant includes a Dual Spectrum CHIRP transducer integrated into the motor’s lower unit. The transducer cabling is routed through the shaft, keeping it protected and eliminating the need to mount an external sonar cable on the motor. Dual Spectrum CHIRP technology can provide information about fish, structure and bottom when the motor is connected to a compatible Humminbird sonar.

Digital Maximizer technology manages power consumption according to the power level used, helping to optimize battery run time. Speed is continuously variable, allowing propulsion to be adjusted to fishing conditions.

The motor is equipped with a composite shaft and Power Prop MKP-37 propeller. The Push-to-Test indicator allows quick checking of the battery charge level.
