The Mepps Comet is a spinner specially designed for small to medium-sized predator fishing, including species such as chub, trout, and perch. The brass pivot positioned between the blade and the spinner body allows it to spin aggressively when retrieved, regardless of speed. The blade has a 45° rotation angle and continuously adapts to current resistance, maintaining vibration levels even during very slow retrieves.

This spinner is best used in flowing waters where currents are interrupted by rocks. Its blades work both near and far from the central axis. The "will o' the wisp" action is also an excellent feature in still waters, where it can imitate a wounded fish in its final moments. The general rule is to use smaller sizes for catching smaller fish and larger spinners for bigger fish.

NOTE: The spinner is sold in a plastic blister pack for maximum protection during transport.
