The Mepps Comet is a spinner specially designed for fishing small and medium-sized predatory fish such as chub, trout, or perch. The brass swivel positioned between the blade and the body of the spinner allows it to spin aggressively when retrieved, regardless of speed. The blade has a 45° rotation angle and continuously adapts to current resistance, maintaining vibration levels even during very slow retrieves.

This spinner is best used in flowing waters where currents are interrupted by stones. Its blades operate close to or away from the central axis. The "will o' the wisp" action is also an excellent feature in still waters, where it can imitate a fish wounded in its last moments. The general rule is to use smaller sizes to catch smaller fish and larger spinners to catch bigger fish.

NOTE: The spinner is sold in a plastic blister pack for maximum protection during transport.
