The Mepps Comet is a spinner specially designed for fishing small to medium-sized predators such as chub, trout, or perch. The brass swivel placed between the blade and the spinner body allows it to rotate aggressively when retrieved, regardless of speed. The blade has a 45º rotation angle and continuously adapts to the current's resistance, maintaining vibration levels even during very slow retrieves.

This spinner is best used in flowing waters where currents are interrupted by stones. Its blades operate close to or away from the central axis. The "will o' the wisp" action is also an excellent feature in still waters, where it can imitate a wounded fish in its final moments. The general rule is to use smaller sizes for catching smaller fish and larger spinners for bigger fish.

NOTE: The spinner is sold in a plastic blister pack for maximum protection during transport.
