The new MV-R FD reel models are simply an innovation characterized by an unbeatable quality/price ratio, recommended for anglers seeking excellent performance without exceeding their budget. An ideal reel for feeder or match fishing, specially designed for long-distance casts.

The 6 (5+1) latest generation bearings, intelligent oscillation system (IOS), and computer-balanced rotor prove that this reel can handle prolonged fights with energetic fish. The long-cast aluminum spool is equipped with a very useful metal clip when fishing in fixed spots. 

Initially, the MV-R FD series models were designed for feeder and match techniques (3000 and 4000), but the efficiency of the gearing and smooth operation convinced Maver consultants to launch in 2021 a series of smaller models (1000 - Bolo and 2000 picker - light feeder - light match). 

The 5000 model appeared to balance the longer rods (4.20m and 4.50m match, and 3.90m, 4.20m feeder). The increased spool capacity allows for easy line release, while the reel’s final weight remains low thanks to the graphite body.
