The Salmo Slider was introduced many years ago, becoming legendary among predator anglers. It's no surprise that this lure has broken many personal records for anglers (both beginners and competitors). The release of the Slider lures represented a new superior quality in the world of artificial baits. Retrieving this lure is very easy, any retrieval technique is effective, the lure's movement will resemble that of an injured prey fish. The colder the water, the longer the pause that should accompany each movement (even up to 3 seconds).

It is recommended for pike, zander, perch, and catfish fishing. Usually, the Slider is fished with a regular series of rod jerks (sudden and aggressive), while the retrieval should be fast. Before using this lure, it is advisable to cast it a few times in clear water to observe its action (to improve the technique of using the lure). The Slider is effective for trolling, letting it trail behind the boat between 10m and 30m and jerking it as you would when casting, every few seconds.

NOTE: Floating versions are highly recommended in warm seasons, when vegetation is abundant and the water column available is very shallow, while sinking models are advised in areas with less vegetation or in deep water zones.
