Kuusamo is the largest manufacturer of metal lures in Finland, renowned worldwide among anglers especially for the Professor and Rasanen models. Kuusamo was born from the dream of two friends who had been enthusiastic anglers since their youth. The only thing missing from their arsenal were metal lures, so they decided to produce their own fishing gear. The Rasanen Bead is one of the most versatile and successful oscillating spoons (many professional anglers have adopted this model for pike fishing) handcrafted by the famous Finnish company.

Kuusamo oscillating spoons are made from a metal alloy that provides increased resistance to mechanical stress, equipped with very sharp hooks and high-quality stainless steel rings. Professional anglers’ advice for all Rasanen lure fans: try an irregular retrieve. Start retrieving slowly, then pause after a short time. Continue retrieving a bit faster and stop the lure again after five or six turns of the reel handle. After the pause, return to a slow retrieve. The spoon will create a “zigzag” action that attracts pike, and surprisingly often, the fish strikes immediately when the retrieve stops.
