Korda Textured Square Pear Inline Lead

Korda Textured Square Pear Inline Lead

The Korda Textured Square Pear Inline is an inline lead designed for carp fishing with bottom rigs, including those made with PVA bags. This model features a compact shape, resembling a pear with flattened sides, which concentrates the weight in a small body. This design allows the lead to be used in semi-fixed rigs and helps transfer resistance quickly to the hook when a fish takes the bait.

The Square Pear shape was developed to combine concentrated weight distribution with stability on the lakebed. Its short body means the fish quickly encounters the full resistance of the lead, helping the hook to set. The flat sides reduce the tendency to roll and help keep the rig in its original position, including on gently sloping lakebeds, shelves and areas with changes in depth.

The lead is coated with a textured protective layer featuring a matt finish and camouflage colouring. The coating reduces light reflections and helps the lead blend in with the lakebed. The granular texture allows fine sediment particles to collect on the surface during use, reducing the contrast between the lead and its surroundings. The outer layer is designed to withstand repeated contact with the lakebed and use in a range of fishing conditions.

The inline system features a rigid plastic inner insert, compatible with size 8 swivels. This allows you to make semi-fixed rigs, with the swivel secured inside the insert. The rig can be completed with a Tail Rubber and anti-tangle tubing to guide the line and reduce the risk of tangles during casting.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the lead can be placed inside Korda Solidz PVA bags, helping to distribute the weight evenly throughout the bag. Its short, compact shape makes it possible to create compact PVA parcels, while the flat sides help keep the rig stable once it settles on the lakebed. This model can also be used with conventional inline rigs without PVA bags.

The Korda Textured Square Pear Inline range is available in several weights, from 2oz (56g) up to 3.5oz (approximately 100g), allowing you to match the lead to your rig setup, fishing distance and lakebed conditions.
