The Heli Safe or lost lead system is an innovation in carp fishing rigs. It was designed out of the need to fish in snaggy areas even at long distances. It has excellent mechanics, ensures a quick and efficient self-hooking, prevents the leader from tangling during the cast, and can be used in any situation from boat baiting to long-distance casting.

If during the fight the lead gets stuck in an underwater structure, it will detach from the clip and release the mainline without losing the fish. It can be successfully used on any type of substrate, with an anti-tangle tubing segment or leadcore. This system is recommended for Helicopter and Chod rigs. It is not recommended for use with soluble PVA bags!
