The reel is equipped with 9 stainless steel bearings located at the key points of the gears. The reel body is made from a corrosion-resistant composite material and features a compact design. The reel comes with a front drag that offers fine adjustment and is also equipped with an adjustable baitrunner drag, positioned at the rear. The spool travel is limited by the central pinion, ensuring perfect line lay, and the baitrunner disengages at one-third of a handle turn.

The long-cast aluminum spool can hold no less than 395m of 0.40mm diameter line, making it one of its main strengths, especially for ledger fishing. The spool features a thin lip, a quality that helps achieve long-distance casts for anglers who prefer this style of fishing. The shape of the spool and its lip allow smooth, low-friction line release during casting. The titanium-coated lip provides enhanced durability, allowing for trouble-free use of braided lines, which are often used as leaders. The Impact Bait Runner FD/FSS reel comes with a graphite spare spool. The oversized line roller reduces friction during casting. The titanium oversized metal bail reduces line friction when retrieving and offers long-term durability. The handle knob is oversized and made from a rubberized material with increased grip, even when your hand is wet.
