Katran Marker Braid is a specially designed braided line for probing the substrate. The multifilament construction (meaning the line is made from many tightly braided thin fibers) gives the line high mechanical resistance and zero elongation, which is the main characteristic of a line intended for probing.

With a small diameter of only 0.14mm and uniform thickness along its entire length, it helps achieve long casting distances (the thinner the line, the longer the cast). Although the line is thin, the rated breaking strength of 9.3kg makes it suitable for casting a marker rig that can reach significant weights.

The dark blue color was specially chosen because it provides good camouflage on the substrate when retrieving the marker float. It is sold on 300m spools, ensuring we can use the line multiple times throughout a fishing season.
