The Jaxon lead, due to its hexagonal shape, is ideal for muddy bottom waters, as the upper layer of mud adheres around it, and when the fish bites, it enhances the hook's self-hooking effect, then releases the lead, allowing the angler to reel in without additional resistance.

The leads are coated with a scratch-resistant electrostatic paint film, resistant to strong impacts, water action, or oxides from the substrate. Thanks to the paint that mimics the substrate, the leads camouflage perfectly once in the water.

The inline rig is considered by experts as the rig that provides the most effective self-hooking, this quality being due to the way the leader is attached, which is inserted directly into the head of the lead. Thus, during bait suction, the leader stretches and at the slightest fish movement, the lead will counter strongly, producing that self-hooking effect.
