The Helix 7 CHIRP MEGA SI, GPS G4 is a state-of-the-art sonar featuring Dual Spectrum Chirp technology, which allows improved differentiation between two targets, such as objects and fish. This makes it much easier to identify fish on the bottom. Side Imaging and Down Imaging can now be viewed in maximum detail as the resolution quality has dramatically improved. The presentation quality is almost photorealistic thanks to the high-resolution display. The SwitchFire and Time Variable Gain (TVG) functions ensure fish sizes are displayed on the screen at various depths in realistically predictable sizes. With a little practice, the size of target fish can be roughly estimated.

MEGA Down Imaging delivers photorealistic images with unmatched quality. This is possible due to the high transmission frequencies enabled by the new HDSI encoder. Resolution and clarity are three times better than classic DI, allowing you to recognize fish outlines and fins.

MEGA Imaging provides photorealistic images in unparalleled quality. This is achieved by the high transmission frequencies—sending and receiving signals at 1.2 MHz instead of the old 455 kHz models. This is made possible with the new HDSI encoder. The resolution and clarity are three times higher than classic SI, making it possible to distinguish fish contours and fins.

Equipped with a broadband 2D sonar, the device captures ultra-clear and detailed images. Even a tight school of fish can be individually separated, and a hidden predator can be identified on the screen. True broadband signals perform fundamentally better than the pseudo-signals of many other sondes. Most importantly, you can set the start and end frequencies for each signal.

Want to create your own chart, no matter where you fish? With Humminbird's AutoChart Live feature, live mapping is possible not only with Garmin. It automatically determines bottom hardness and vegetation, overlaying it transparently via Navionics electronic nautical charts, with freely selectable transparency. You have up to 8 hours of recording available with the built-in depth sounder—a kind of trial subscription. For longer recordings, you need the additional Zero Line SD card, which extends the device's internal memory for several years of navigation. Moreover, the Zero Line SD card is also included in the two full versions of AutoChart PC and AutoChart PC Pro.
