Hoody Simms SolarFlex Guide Cooling Hoody, Steel Blue

Simms Solarflex Guide Cooling Hoody, Steel Blue

The SolarFlex Cooling Hoody features technologies developed for sun protection, providing enhanced thermal comfort during the hottest periods of the year, and offering excellent protection against harmful sun rays. It is rated UPF50 for sun protection and features a design with an integrated hood and buff that covers all angles of the face.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50th of the Sun's UV rays to pass through, significantly reducing skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes from Simms are effective throughout the garment's lifetime.

The fabric is cool to the touch, lightweight, non-abrasive, and stretchy, with a hint of compression. The 3-panel hood attaches to the integrated buff to ensure it stays in place even in strong winds or when boating at high speeds. The integrated buff protects your nose, mouth, neck, and ears. The sleeves are designed with extended cuffs and thumbholes to stay in place while casting. Lastly, the hoody also features a zippered pocket on the back to carry essentials when you're by the water.
