TSW-18 Drop Chain is a hanger equipped with a heavy steel chain, recommended for use in fishing at short to medium distances, including margin fishing, with line that is un-stretched or semi-stretched. In the event of a bite, the clip will release the line at the first lift of the rod, allowing the fish to take line freely from the spool. It has a screw attachment between the chain and the base, and end fittings for the line with pressed elastic balls, whose tension can be adjusted with a knurled nut.

The chain serves to reduce the lateral movements of the alarm when the wind blows, thus decreasing the likelihood of false signals, and its extremely flexible structure allows for the detection of the finest bites. The hanger is available in 4 color options for the plastic head: red, green, blue, and yellow.

Hangers are recommended when fishing on stakes or on smaller rod pods, where the distance between the alarm and the reel is shorter. They are also preferred for finesse fishing, or in situations where the fish are wary and a too-tight line might scare them.
