Guru SMWG Bait Bands Rig Hooklengths, 15", 8 pcs/pack

Guru SMWG Bait Bands Rig Hooklengths, 15", 8 per packet

Guru SMWG Bait Bands Rigs are ready-tied hooklengths designed for feeder, method feeder, hybrid feeder and pellet feeder fishing. They are used especially on commercial fisheries for carp, crucian carp, bream, F1 carp and other coarse fish. The rigs are fitted with Guru Super MWG (SMWG) hooks tied to N-Gauge monofilament and feature a Micro Bait Band elastic ring for attaching bait.

Super MWG hooks are made from strong wire and feature a wide gape and a sharp point designed to provide a secure hook hold during the fight. The model has an eye and is barbless, making it a popular choice for coarse fishing on commercial fisheries. Its robust construction makes these rigs suitable for catching medium- to large-sized fish, including when extra hook strength is required.

The hooks feature a protective PTFE coating that provides a matt, low-glare finish, helps protect against corrosion and helps keep the point sharp. The wide-gape shape allows the point to remain exposed when bait is presented on the hair, helping to hook the fish when it takes the bait.

The rigs feature a hair rig fitted with a Micro Bait Band elastic ring for securing baits such as pellets, wafters and pop-ups. The elastic ring lets you attach bait without piercing it, while the hair keeps the hook separate from the bait. A 0.3mm micro silicone sleeve is fitted on the hook shank to secure the hair position and help maintain consistent bait presentation.

The hooks are tied with Guru N-Gauge monofilament, a line designed for making coarse fishing rigs and characterised by its knot strength and flexibility. The 15-inch (38.1cm) line length makes these rigs suitable for different fishing setups, including method feeder, hybrid feeder, pellet feeder or a simple lead setup. The range is available in several combinations of hook sizes and line diameters to suit the target species and fishing conditions.

The rigs are supplied ready-tied on storage spools compatible with Guru Rig Box storage systems. This system keeps the hooklengths straight and lets you organise rigs by hook size and line diameter, reducing the risk of tangles during transport and storage.
