The Garmin AIS 800 is a Class B/SO AIS "black box" transceiver with a 5W transmission power, designed for reliable communication and easy integration into Garmin onboard systems. It transmits vessel information to other AIS receivers in the area and receives AIS target data in real time. It includes an integrated GPS with a connector for an optional external antenna and an internal VHF splitter for using a single antenna. It connects via NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 to compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays.
