ESP Cryogen Classic is a teflon-coated hook with a slightly inward-turned eye, straight shank, and micro barb, specifically designed for fishing with boilies as well as floating baits. The hooks are made from forged Japanese steel, feature a PTFE finish, and their sharp tip crafted with a special technology provides a long service life. This hook is ideal for fishing in snaggy areas and gravel zones.

These hooks are currently about 25% stronger than their predecessors while maintaining the finesse and subtlety of the rig. They are highly effective in a wide range of bait presentations, and their shape prevents the hook from being dislodged from the fish's mouth.

The initial launch of ESP Cryogen hooks in March 2016 caused a huge stir among top anglers due to the exceptional technical advantages they offered. They were the result of over three years of development and field testing, culminating in a new standard for strength and reliability.

New manufacturing techniques involving high temperatures and cryogenic processing have produced much stronger hooks. Cryogenic tempering is a process used to improve the molecular structure of the steel, which in turn reduces stress and enhances wear resistance.

Initial tests demonstrated that the new heat treatments combined with heavy forging methods resulted in hooks that were 25-30% stronger than other PTFE-coated carp hooks. The hooks also underwent independent scientific testing for hardness and tensile strength, with the tests confirming the initial conclusions.
