When fishing with a feeder, we can use baitrunner reels or regular reels with a front drag. The Kamasaki Elite Feeder belongs to the latter category, but it differs slightly from regular reels. We recommend it to anyone looking to take their feeder fishing to the next level while using superior quality gear.

The reel body is made of graphite and features 5+1 state-of-the-art bearings. The handle is made of metal, making it stable even when retrieving heavier weights from the open water. The drag system is a well-known front drag with washers, which tends to slip slightly as it wears in, preventing jams—a problem common in older reels. Due to the relatively shallow spool, there’s no need to fill it with hundreds of meters of line; 150-200 meters is usually enough.

The oversized spool allows the line to "flow" more smoothly, enabling longer casts. However, to fully benefit from this, you need a rod with a larger diameter guide ring at the base so that the line flowing toward the tip is not forced to narrow, thus losing speed. The large spool also helps retrieve the rig faster (each turn of the handle recovers 95 cm of line). The spool is made of aluminum, combining durability and wear resistance with light weight.
