The alarm housing is robust and water-resistant, made from rubberized plastic. It has a lever switch located at the bottom, which can be connected/disconnected and used to select day/night mode. The alarm operates on a standard 9V battery, which can ensure long-lasting operation (up to 100 hours depending on battery quality). After your fishing session, it is recommended to remove the battery and carry it separately.
