The FX1 is a compact electronic bite alarm, with electronic circuits encapsulated in an ABS housing, providing 100% waterproofing and resistance to mechanical shocks. It features dials for adjusting the volume (dial "V" - 5 levels from 0 to 4, where 0 represents silent mode) and sensitivity (dial "S" - 5 levels). The "T" dial allows you to select the tone (5 levels), while the "C" (Colour) dial lets you choose one of 7 LED signal colors. Repeated bites are signaled with a different tone.

The alarm has the classic rigid plastic spool characterized by high sensitivity, effectively signaling the "Run" function (fish moving away from the rod – line tightens) and "Drop Back" (fish moving towards the rod – line slackens) both visually and audibly. The metal On/Off button is located at the bottom of the housing (near the attachment thread). Using the universal thread, the alarm can be mounted on any tripod, buzz bar, or rod rest. It also features a special port for connecting 2.5mm jack plugs of swingers or light hangers.

The FX1 also includes a special Night Mode function (illumination for nighttime use) activated/deactivated by moving a metal lever left/right. Each alarm comes with two rubber-coated stabilizer ears ("snag ears") that can be detached. These stabilizer ears prevent the rod from being pulled off the support during strong bites. The alarm operates on a 9V battery (not included). When the battery is low, the alarm will alert you with a short beep.

NOTE: For extra protection against mechanical shocks, dirt, and water ingress into the internal circuits, the bite alarm is delivered with a rigid plastic protective case (both front and back parts).

Recommendations:

- Although the alarms are designed to work in any weather conditions, do not submerge them in water!
- If you do not use the alarm for an extended period, it is advisable to remove the battery;
- Do not screw the alarm too tightly onto buzz bars or rod rests to prevent possible damage;
