The DX1 is a compact electronic bite alarm, with its electronic circuits encapsulated in a shock-resistant ABS housing that also protects against water ingress. It features wheels to adjust the volume (wheel "V" - 5 levels) as well as sensitivity (wheel "S" - 5 levels). The "V" wheel can also be used to set silent mode, while the "S" wheel can additionally adjust the tone (5 levels).

The alarm has the classic rigid plastic spool characterized by high sensitivity, effectively signaling the "Run" (fish moving away from the rod – line tightens) and "Drop Back" (fish moving towards the rod – line slackens) functions both visually and audibly. The signal LED can be set to any of the 7 available colors (red, green, blue, yellow, violet, turquoise, and white). The DX1 retains all settings in memory. Repeated bites are indicated by a different tone, and after each bite, the memory LED lights up for 15 seconds.

The metal On/Off button is positioned at the bottom of the housing (near the mounting thread). Using the universal thread, the alarm can be attached to any type of tripod, buzz bar, or bank stick. The alarm features a special port for connecting 2.5mm jack plugs for swingers or light hangers. The DX1 also includes a special Night Mode function (illumination during nighttime). It operates with a 12V LR23A / V23GA battery (not included). When the battery runs low, the alarm will notify you with a short beep.

Setting the LED Color: With the alarm off, press and hold the red "Power" button for 5 seconds. The alarm will emit 3 short beeps and a fourth longer, distinct beep. After this signal, release the red "Power" button and immediately press it briefly once more. By turning the "S" dial, you will select the desired LED color. To confirm the selected color, turn off the alarm by pressing the red "Power" button for two seconds.

Warning: The alarm shares part of its electronics with the Coder set, but due to the lack of a transmitter, you cannot pair this alarm with the set. Nonetheless, the electronic code includes a range test function. Therefore, never switch on the alarm with the "S" button set to position 5, as this will activate the function accompanied by flashing light, which could confuse you.

Recommendations:

- Although the alarms are designed to operate in any weather conditions, do not submerge them in water!
- If you do not use the alarm for an extended period, it is advisable to remove the battery;
- Do not screw the alarm too tightly onto buzz bars or bank sticks to prevent potential damage;
