Delphin Detex Bite Alarms + Receiver Set 3+1

Delphin Detex Bite Alarm Set + Receiver 3+1

Delphin DETEX is a premium wireless bite alarm set with receiver, developed entirely by Delphin’s design and development team for modern carp fishing. The result of an extensive process of design, testing and optimisation, DETEX is the flagship model in the manufacturer’s bite alarm range, standing out for its original design, reliable electronics and wide range of advanced adjustment and signalling functions. The components are housed in robust ABS plastic casings, resistant to water, adverse weather conditions and mechanical stress. The system provides audible and visual bite indication, extensive customisation options and wireless communication between the alarms and receiver, making it suitable for a variety of fishing conditions.

The bite alarms feature three independent rotary controls for adjusting the volume across 6 levels, including silent mode, selecting from 5 alarm tones and setting the sensitivity across 5 levels. These options let you tailor the alarms to the fishing conditions and your personal preferences. One of the key advantages of the DETEX system is the choice of 7 LED colours, selected at the touch of a side button. A dedicated switch lets you choose day mode, night mode or off. In night mode, the night LED stays on continuously and automatically matches the selected bite indication colour. The memory function retains your settings even after the alarms are switched off, so you don’t have to readjust them each time you switch them on.

The system distinguishes between standard runs and drop-back bites, which occur when a fish moves towards the bank and the line loses tension, using different audible signals. This makes it easy to identify the type of bite, even when you’re away from your rods. The memory LED stays lit for 20 seconds after a bite is registered, making it easy to identify which rod has picked up activity.

The bite alarms feature rubberised rod rests to protect the rod blank from scratches and help prevent slipping. The included Snag Ears screw directly into the threaded holes in the casing, helping prevent the rod from moving sideways during powerful runs. The mounting thread is fitted with a locking nut, allowing you to secure the alarms in the desired position. A 2.5mm socket for connecting compatible illuminated hangers or swingers provides additional visual bite indication.

The Delphin DETEX receiver provides wireless communication with the bite alarms over a range of up to 150m, depending on the terrain and any obstacles, and can pair with up to 6 alarms. It automatically picks up the alarm tone of each connected unit and offers 6 volume levels, including silent mode, as well as a vibration function for discreet alerts. Like the alarms, the receiver distinguishes between standard runs and drop-back bites using different audible and visual signals. The memory LED stays active for 20 seconds after a bite is detected, and a button press reactivates the indicator for the last registered bite. These functions make it easy to monitor your rods from a distance, including during night fishing.

A practical feature of the receiver is its integrated bivvy light, designed to provide temporary illumination during night fishing sessions. It can be switched on manually or set to turn on automatically when a bite is detected, making it easy to find your way around the bivvy without needing an additional light source. Four selectable lighting intervals let you adjust its operation to suit your needs. The receiver also features a range test function, allowing you to check the connection with the bite alarms at your swim and find a suitable position for the receiver. The included lanyard makes it easy to carry and keep the receiver close at hand.

Both the bite alarms and the receiver are water-resistant and feature energy-efficient electronics to help maximise battery life. Each unit is powered by 3 AAA batteries and has an audible low-battery warning. The set comes in a practical carry case designed to organise and protect the components during storage and transport. The original design and distinctive construction details of the DETEX system were developed entirely by the Delphin team and are protected by registration within the European Union.
