The 2018 Ryoga reel offers Japanese design at the highest standards. The new Ryoga is considerably stronger, more sensitive, and more durable than the previous edition. By reducing the size of the pinion gear teeth, the new "Detective Rotation" design increases the pinion's contact surface by a factor of 1.5. This ensures smoother operation and until now, exceptional sensitivity for precise lure retrieval, allowing even the lightest crankbaits to respond accordingly.

The ATD drag system operates without high startup resistance and delivers huge advantages, especially reducing losses when using braided lines. The double stopper combines an Infinit system with an additional stopper—perfect when fishing in changing temperatures or cold conditions. Thanks to the application of a Mag Sealed sealed ball bearing and 11 CRBB bearings, the Ryoga model is suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater fishing.

This model is fast with a gear ratio of 6.3:1, resulting in 71cm of line retrieved per handle turn, allowing for spectacular lure presentations.
