Daiwa Lexa W 3012 Match Edition Reel

The Lexa W 3012 Match Edition is a reel designed to the specifications of world champion Walter Tamas, particularly recommended for match fishing with waggler floats. Crafted using the latest innovative technologies in the field, the Lexa W 3012 has been reimagined to provide stationary enthusiasts with a powerful, high-performance, durable piece of equipment featuring an exceptionally smooth operation.

The body of the reel is made from lightweight, rigid HardBodyZ® aluminum that withstands extreme demands superbly. The DigiGear II system provides instant power transmission during retrieval and increased endurance, making this reel a reliable companion even on the most active fishing trips with hundreds of casts and retrieves per day. The Air Rotor is 15% lighter than most standard models, ensuring perfect line lay on the spool and eliminating vibrations due to its lowered center of gravity.

The ABS aluminum spool is conically shaped to minimize the risk of line tangles during casts. Additionally, the lip reduces friction to increase throwing distance. The carefully finished semi-round metal clip allows for precise securing of the fishing line, which is particularly beneficial when accuracy is required in baiting areas. The Twist Buster roller guarantees optimal line tension, significantly reducing the risk of breakage during retrieval.

The micrometric front drag operates flawlessly; a simple 180° turn of the knob can adjust the spool from tight to free. With just a short movement, we can set the drag from locked, ready for casting, as easily as we can finely adjust the drag power for battling larger fish. The reel comes with an identical aluminum spare spool.

With a retrieval ratio of 5.6:1 and approximately 95cm of line retrieved per crank, the angler maintains complete control with minimal effort, even when bringing in trophy catches. As for aesthetics, the black hue contrasts nicely with the burgundy finish of the spool. The TPE ergonomic "T" shaped knob fits perfectly in the angler's hand, providing a firm grip and ease of use.

The Daiwa Lexa 3012 is especially recommended for rods up to 3.60m in length, regardless of the anglers' fishing methods or target species. This reel excels for anglers targeting "white fish" using baskets and long leaders, and in certain cases, it can also be utilized by those preferring method feeder techniques and finesse fishing with picker rods.

NOTE: The diameter of the spool (measured at the outer lip) is 54mm, and the height (the usable part that holds the line) measures 21mm.
