By using the new Zaion Light composite material, Daiwa's engineers have successfully designed the latest generation of the highly successful Exceler LT series, considerably stronger and lighter than ever before. The deformation-resistant Zaion® Light material offers significantly improved toughness and reduced weight. With this material, the gearing is securely housed within the reel's body, ensuring smooth operation.

Thanks to the LT (Light & Tough) design combined with the Tough Digigear® gearing, the retrieval power and power transmission are higher, resulting in a longer lifespan. The ATD™ drag system operates without initial resistance, providing enormous pulling power. The longcast ABS aluminum spool, with an optimized lip, reduces friction with the line, facilitating longer casting distances. 

The Cross Wrap® technology precisely layers the line on the spool, minimizing the risk of tangles. The Air Bail® pick-up arm is hollow, making it very strong, lightweight, and durable. The latest Twist Buster II system significantly reduces friction between the line and the roller, preventing breakage. The aluminum handle is directly attached to the spool body, and the Hi-Grip knob is pleasantly textured even with wet fingers.

LT (LIGHT and TOUGH) - Daiwa's technology translates to reduced dimensions of the reels, making them stronger than ever. Daiwa's engineers aimed to eliminate unnecessary weight without sacrificing power, maintaining the same line capacity on the spool. Redesigned with a minimalist profile, tougher Digigear gearing, all these features make LT the lightest and most durable Daiwa reel.

Zaion® - a special material created by Daiwa's engineers, characterized by low weight and increased strength. It is a "High Density" solid carbon material designed for high performance and maximum impact resistance (used for manufacturing both bodies and rotors). Thanks to Zaion, a lightweight reel body can be constructed that withstands the forces of the gearing. The strength of Zaion is equivalent to magnesium and is 20% stronger than the nylon/ABS materials used by most manufacturers for reel bodies. Zaion is 50% lighter than aluminum.

ATD™ (Automatic Drag System) - the braking system excels with a much smoother transition between drag settings, making it perfectly suited for the use of braided lines. With ATD, the drag begins immediately, right from the start, and the transition to the preset drag force occurs in a fraction of a second, thus preventing line breakage during sudden pulls.

Cross Wrap® - this is a special technology for cross-laying the line on the spool. This technology ensures a significant reduction in tangles around the axis. Furthermore, the unique wrapping means that more line coils are taken on the spool, resulting in extreme casting distances.

Tough DigiGear® - digitally developed speed gearing designed to withstand high pulling forces. The gear integrated into the spool's body transmits the handle's power directly to the rotor smoothly and extremely efficiently. The size of the drive gear, strength, and angle of the gearing, along with the shape and surface of the gear teeth, allow for the construction of gearboxes with exceptional smoothness, minimal resistance during use, and an extremely long lifespan.

AirBail® - the pick-up arm of the reel is hollow and therefore strong, lightweight, and durable. Its special construction prevents line twisting around the pick-up wire.

Twist Buster® II - sophisticated system (patent no. EP0876760B1) that minimizes line twisting to a minimum. The latest Twist Buster II system significantly reduces friction between the line and the roller, preventing breakage.

Infinite Anti-Reverse® - bearing with rollers that allows rotor rotation in one direction only. Only the highest quality steel parts are used here, with the tightest tolerances.
