The Daiwa Emblem Surf 45 SCW QD New 2023 is a reel (2023 model) specially designed for anglers aiming to achieve extreme casting distances, equipped with a 45mm long cast spool. This reel is highly versatile, suitable for both shore fishing and boat fishing. It comes with a "Shallow" spool (small depth) plus a spare deep spool, both made from aluminum. Additionally, the reel features a "Slow Cross Wrap" reduced oscillation system that allows perfect line lay and very smooth glide of the line.

The Emblem Surf 45 SCW QD boasts a robust corrosion-resistant body that effectively protects the internal mechanisms and components from harsh elements. The body is shielded by MagSealed oil, which creates a magnetic field to prevent water and dirt intrusion even during operation. The 6 latest-generation corrosion-resistant bearings (AirBail & Air Rotor) along with the Quick Drag fast drag system ensure flawless reel performance even in the toughest fishing conditions. The spool unlocks from fully tightened to free spool with just a quarter turn (essentially a simple 90° rotation) of the knob.

The round HIP (High Impact Line Clip), CNC-machined aluminum handle, and soft-finish TPE knob complete the premium features list. The reel has a gear ratio of 4.9:1 and can retrieve an impressive 104cm of line per full handle turn. The silver finish gives the reel an elegant and modern look, while the minimalist design is a total triumph for the Emblem series.

NOTE: The reel comes with a spare spool identical to the main one, the only difference being the line capacity. The outer diameter of the spools measures 68.40mm, the difference lies only in the line storage area (the spare spool is slightly deeper). The reel body weighs 497g, the main spool weighs 120g, and the spare spool weighs 116g (the drag knob weighs 15g).
