In addition to its silver finish, the Crosscast Surf 45 SCW QD features the same technical details as the Crosscast 45 SCW QD. The Crosscast 45 SCW QD is a Big Pit reel specially designed for anglers who want to reach extreme distances when casting (the spool stroke is ultra-long at 45mm). The ultra-long cast aluminum spool and the Slow Cross Wrap™ line lay system allow for even line distribution and significantly reduced friction, while the round HIP clip protects the line and is extremely useful when precise placement of bait is required.

The "QD" Quick Drag front drag with carbon discs can be switched from tight to free spool with just one complete turn of the handle. The reel has a "No Paint" surface to prevent the paint from chipping off the housing. The stainless steel shaft and Digigear II gears provide optimal power transmission and tremendous recovery strength, which is very useful when retrieving rigs frequently as well as during fights with large fish.
