The reel stands out with its MQ body that allows the use of a larger gear, significantly stronger and more durable compared to standard models, providing optimal retrieval power. The reel body is made from Zaion V material. Thanks to the special construction of the gear teeth, smooth operation is enhanced, and gear lifespan is increased. The reel also features MagSealed construction and an adjustable ATD drag system. The edge of the long cast CNC-machined aluminum spool reduces friction during casting and optimizes casting distances. Sizes from 1000 to 2500 have an I-shaped handle knob, while sizes 3000 and 4000 have a T-shaped knob.

LT (LIGHT and TOUGH) - Daiwa technology that translates into new compact reel sizes, making them stronger than ever. Daiwa engineers aimed to eliminate unnecessary weight without sacrificing power, keeping the same line capacity on the spool. Redesigned with a minimalist profile and a tougher Digigear, all these make LT the lightest and most durable Daiwa reel.

Zaion - a special material created by Daiwa engineers, characterized by low weight and increased strength. It is a solid "High Density" carbon material designed for high performance and maximum impact resistance (used for both reel bodies and rotors). Thanks to Zaion, a lightweight reel body is built that withstands gear forces. Zaion’s strength is comparable to magnesium and is 20% stronger than the nylon/ABS material used by most manufacturers for reel bodies. Zaion is 50% lighter than aluminum.

MagSealed Technology - Sealing the rotor is a challenge Daiwa managed to meet in 2010 and optimize year after year. To seal the rotor inside the body, the seal is made from a magnetic oil called MagSealed. This oil is frozen in a magnetic field and prevents water and dust from entering the mechanism. The LT 2019 model features a one-piece structure without welds or flanges, which provides high durability. This is why MagSealed is applied additionally to both the pinion and the pickup, giving them corrosion resistance against water.

ATD (Automatic Drag System) - the drag system excels with much smoother transition intervals, making it perfectly suited for the use of braided lines. With ATD, drag starts immediately and transitions to the preset drag force in a fraction of a second, preventing line breakage from shock.
