The Black Widow LT is a reel with an integrated baitrunner and an elegant "Concept LT" (Light & Tough) design, built around a graphite frame that provides low weight and superior strength. The long cast ABS aluminum spool and the Slow Cross Wrap™ line lay system ensure uniform line distribution and significantly reduced friction.

The baitrunner is a special type of drag positioned at the back of the reel that allows the fish to take line after it has been hooked. The baitrunner has two controls: a lever to manually activate or deactivate this drag and a dial through which the angler adjusts the resistance the fish feels when pulling line.

The ATD drag system allows instant operation and fine adjustment, while the Tough Digigear gears provide optimal power transmission and immense strength, very useful when rigs need frequent recovery and during battles with large fish. A durable pick-up wire, Infinite Anti-Reverse® system, and CNC-machined aluminum handle complete the reel’s features. The soft-touch knob fits perfectly in the angler’s palm.

Silent Oscillation® System - thanks to the special assembly and guidance of the shaft lift gears, Daiwa engineers have achieved significantly smoother transmission compared to conventional systems with a similar design. Silent shaft lifting - less noise, precise operation, and extreme durability.

Slow Cross Wrap® - is a special cross-pattern line lay technology on the spool. This technology significantly reduces tangles around the shaft. In addition, the unique winding means more line is held on the spool, resulting in extreme casting distances.

Tough DigiGear® - a digitally developed gear set designed to withstand high tensile forces. The pinion gear, housed inside the spool, transmits power from the handle directly to the rotor smoothly and extremely efficiently. The size of the drive gear, its strength and gear angles, as well as the shape and surface of the gear teeth, allow the construction of gearboxes with exceptional smoothness, minimal resistance during use, and a very long lifespan.

Infinite Anti-Reverse® - a roller bearing that allows rotation of the rotor in only one direction. Only the highest quality steel parts with the tightest tolerances are used here.

NOTE: The Black Widow BR LT reels in sizes 2500 and 3000 are sold with a standard spool, while sizes 4000-C and 5000-C come with "Compact" (deep) spools.
