The new Daiwa BG Surf reels combine high retrieval power with smooth operation and premium design. The HardBodyZ aluminum body excellently protects the DigiGear II internal gears, which optimally transmit power during battles with large fish. Specifically designed for braided lines, the ABS (Anti-Backlash System) aluminum spool allows for long casts and prevents line twisting. The deep spool is equipped with a central rubber ring that prevents line slippage under load.

Daiwa BG Surf reels are not painted, but feature a special surface finish that completely eliminates the risk of chipping while also protecting against corrosion caused by saltwater. The handle is securely fixed to the body, capable of withstanding the heaviest loads, and operates smoothly during demanding fights.

Utilizing the Air Rotor concept in its design, the weight of the reel has been significantly reduced, improving rotational balance thanks to a very low center of gravity. The ATD braking system excels with a progressive transition, in just a fraction of a second, to the preset braking force, preventing the breakage of braided lines during shocks.
