The new Ballistic MQ LT series combines power with lightweight design, providing dedicated anglers with the support they need to fish worry-free in both freshwater and saltwater. Thanks to the LT design, the reel body can be made smaller and lighter, enhancing retrieval power and durability at the same time. The gearing is perfectly balanced inside the MQ body and offers smooth rotation even under high tension. The aluminum ABS spool is supported by two bearings on the main shaft. Consequently, the ATD drag system delivers incredible friction sensitivity and ensures smooth pull power even when using thin lines.

MagSealed® - a technology that prevents water, dust particles, or salt crystals from entering between the rotor and the reel body. The oil-based magnetic seal cannot be penetrated by dirt particles or water.

ATD® (Automatic Drag System) - the drag system excels with a much smoother transition through drag increments, making it ideal for use with braided lines. With ATD, drag starts immediately from the beginning, and the transition to the preset drag force occurs within a fraction of a second, thus preventing line breakage from shocks.

ABS (Anti-Backlash System) - a system that allows long casts and prevents line twist. Daiwa reels with ABS have spools designed with a large line storage diameter, enabling smooth and large loops of line to be released evenly, thereby preventing line twist. Thanks to this principle, extreme-distance casting is possible.

Cross Wrap® - a special technology where the line is laid in a cross pattern on the spool. This technology significantly reduces tangles around the shaft. Additionally, the unique winding means more wraps are taken onto the spool, resulting in extreme casting distances.

Tough DigiGear® - a digitally developed gear system designed to withstand high pulling forces. The pinion integrated into the spool housing transmits the crank handle power directly to the rotor smoothly and very efficiently. The size of the main gear, strength and gear angles, along with the shape and surface of the gear teeth, allow the construction of gearboxes with exceptional smoothness, minimal resistance during use, and extremely long service life.

AirBail® - the reel’s pick-up arm is hollow, making it strong, lightweight, and durable. The special construction prevents line twist around the pick-up wire.

Twist Buster® II - a sophisticated system (patent no. EP0876760B1) that minimizes line twist. The latest Twist Buster II system significantly reduces friction between the line and roller, preventing line breakage.

Infinite Anti-Reverse® - a roller bearing that allows the rotor to rotate in only one direction. Only the highest quality steel parts with the tightest tolerances are used here.
