It is braided from 12 very strong PE fibers and offers up to 30% increased resistance to knots and abrasion. The PE rating comes from the Japanese numbering system used to measure the diameter of silk threads; PE rating is a measure of the line diameter and does not represent breaking strength. The special manufacturing technology perfectly balances strength and stiffness, maximizing casting distance and performance while reducing line tangles.
