The housing of both the alarms and the receiver is waterproof, with the alarms powered by a 9V battery, while the receiver operates on three AAA batteries. Besides the long battery life, one of the greatest advantages of this set is its range — up to 200 meters depending on environmental conditions.

Snag ears can be screwed directly onto the threads on the alarm body, which clearly simplifies handling. When setting up the system at your fishing spot, you'll surely appreciate the silent mode lasting 20 seconds, during which you can manipulate the alarm without triggering sound signals.

Another feature is the ability to set up to 6 sensitivity levels for bite detection within the range of 1.5–10.5cm. The alarms have two main modes — day and night. The night mode naturally includes the position LED lighting. The alarms also allow silent mode and recognize return signals. Additionally, the OPTIMO has memory — it saves the set volume and alert tone even after being turned off.

NOTE: The hard plastic case can store and transport three alarms, the receiver, plus three hangers. The alarm and hanger number 4 do not have a specially designed slot in the carrying case.
