The new generation of critically balanced baits has the great advantage of keeping the hook on the substrate, with neutral buoyancy, which has proven to be extremely effective compared to high buoyancy baits. Although they resemble boilies or pop-ups, these baits have nothing to do with the composition of those mentioned. The material is soft, slightly fluffy, and retains the flavour throughout its density – the main weapon to attract fish. This is also why they cannot be classified as boilies, pellets, or floating baits in general.

The softness of the material is also what dictates the use in combination with bait spikes (Bait Sting), with recommended sizes being 5 and 10mm. At first glance, you will notice these baits have a high moisture content, provided by the flavour impregnated throughout the material's mass. Practically, unlike pellets, pop-ups, or boilies, these have a much longer lifespan, precisely because of this advantage.
