Simms BugStopper SunGaiter is a bandana specifically designed to provide insect protection on hot days. The bandana is made with the latest Insect Shield UPF 50 SolarFlex fabric technology that offers lightweight, breathability, and face protection against sunburn and insect bites. Additionally, the special fabric stretches in multiple directions. It has no seams that irritate the skin and offers good breathability and moisture control.

The SolarFlex fabric provides UPF 50 protection and covers from the tip of the nose to the shirt collar, with enough height at the back to fit over or under your favorite fishing hat. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50 of the sun's UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric will significantly reduce skin exposure to UV radiation. All Simms UPF finishes last for the lifetime of the garment.
