Bandana Simms BugStopper SunGaiter, Hex Flo Camo Steel

Simms BugStopper SunGaiter Bandana, Hex Flo Camo Steel

Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on some of the most majestic rivers in the world, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time did not meet the needs to keep top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The Simms BugStopper SunGaiter is a bandana specially designed to provide insect protection on scorching days. The bandana is made with the latest Insect Shield® UPF 50 SolarFlex fabric technology, offering lightweight feel, breathability, and face protection against sunburn and insect bites. Additionally, the special fabric stretches in multiple directions. It has no seams that irritate the skin and offers excellent breathability and moisture control.

SolarFlex® fabric provides UPF 50 protection and covers from the tip of the nose down to the shirt collar, with enough height in the back to fit over or under your favorite fishing hat. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation from the sun is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50 of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All Simms UPF finishes last for the garment’s lifetime.
