The Simms BugStopper SunGaiter is a bandana specially designed to provide insect protection on hot days. The bandana is made with the latest Insect Shield UPF 50 SolarFlex fabric technology, offering lightweight comfort, breathability, and face protection against sunburns and insect bites. Additionally, the special fabric stretches in multiple directions. It has no seams that irritate the skin and provides excellent moisture and breathability control.

The SolarFlex fabric offers UPF 50 protection and covers from the tip of the nose down to the shirt collar, with enough height at the back to fit over or under your favorite fishing hat. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much UV radiation is absorbed. A fabric rated 50 allows only 1/50 of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All Simms UPF finishes last for the garment’s lifetime.
