The Simms company was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. For warm days on the water, the Solar Flex Hoody lets you stay outdoors without interruptions. The advanced cooling fabric is complemented by high stretch, providing great freedom of movement. The hoody features a UPF50 protection factor and a special hood design that shields against UV rays while maintaining comfort.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 30 allows only 1/30 of the UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All Simms UPF finishes last for the lifetime of the garment.
