Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer in any weather.

The ExStream range perfectly balances lightweight warmth with jacket performance. ExStream is made with a special seamless fabric for optimal durability, and is designed to be worn under waders or coveralls. ExStream uses fine, silky synthetic fibers combined with silica aerogel to mimic the warmth of natural goose down. In addition to PrimaLoft Silver Thermoplume technology with a durable water-repellent finish, the jacket features DWR-treated nylon fabrics that efficiently shed water. Cross Core™ technology represents the use of NASA-developed Aerogel technology combined with synthetic fibers to deliver the look and performance of natural down in a synthetic insulation.
