Simms was founded in 1980 by a visionary angler and longtime guide John Simms. After spending decades providing clients with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof gear available at the time didn’t meet the needs of keeping top anglers dry, comfortable, and safe on the water. So, he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get on the water earlier and stay out longer, no matter the weather.

Mother Nature has her ways of testing our limits. The Sflex Hoody utilizes technologies developed for sun protection. This men’s quick-dry shirt features COR3™ fabric to combat odors and wick moisture, keeping you dry throughout your outing. It’s rated UPF 50 for sun protection, and the sleeves and shoulders are designed for comfort and natural movement.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is blocked. A fabric with a rating of 50 allows only 1/50th of UV rays to pass through. This means the fabric significantly reduces skin exposure to UV radiation. All UPF finishes by Simms last the lifetime of the garment.
